Ukraine maintains its position of the major agricultural exporter in 2017
Results of 2017 show that Ukraine has maintained its position of the major agricultural exporter. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the export of agrarian and food products has increased by 16.3% in 2017 up to $17.9 billion.
This makes 44.86% of total exports in 2017. Such result was achieved despite the slight decline of productivity in 2017. Considering the price dynamics of foreign markets and productivity forecasts, the agrarian sector will remain the main source of currency flow into Ukraine in 2018.
