Canada is ready to start working on a visa-free travel “road map” for Ukraine

The government of Canada is ready to discuss the road map, which will allow Ukraine to acquire visa-free travel over time.

This was announced by the President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, Pavlo Grod.

“The Minister of Immigration, Ahmed Husen, assured us that they are ready to develop the road map for visa-free travel”, he said.

“You have to realize that this won’t happen tomorrow, but the processes that will lead to this are already in action.”

He added that Canada “has a rather conservative approach to visa and immigration in general”.

“There are many countries that have free-trade agreement with Canada, but not visa-free travel. However, this topic is still being discussed”, the UCC President assured.

He thinks that significant progress regarding this topic will be achieved in near future.
